Kayla Canne is a student journalist at Boston University currently exploring the wonders of both photo and print journalism. An avid writer from a young age, Kayla has enjoyed writing for and interning at a variety of publications including The Daily Free Press, Sensible Reason, Boston Magazine and Universal Hub. Kayla found a passion in international issues after traveling to Ethiopia, where she was inspired by the challenge to capture a society and culture so different from her own through mere words and photographs. She continued this international journey through an internship with Alt Media in Sydney, Australia, and her travels to Thailand, New Zealand and soon Haiti. In her wildest dreams, Kayla would continue with a career in international journalism, traveling the world and reporting for Time Magazine or BBC World News.
